Honor 20 Series Release Date Goes Official

Honor has indicated that it will announce its Honor 20 series on May 21 in London. We hope to see the Honor 20, the Honor 20 Pro and the Honor 20 Lite there.

Honor 20 launch

Honor releases a top model every year. That started in 2016 with the Honor 8, in 2017 with the Honor 9 and in 2018 it was the Honor 10. This year, the Honor 20 will follow up on this popular series, and it is unlikely that it will be confined to one phone. There may also be an Honor 20 Pro. After a quick calculation, we can deduce all this from the image below.

Honor 20 Series Specs

The Honor 20 and Honor 20 Pro can count on the powerful 7-nanometer  Kirin 980 processor. That is exactly the same chipset that we also find in the Huawei P30 Pro. The company is expected to also release a budget Honor 20 Lite with a Kirin 710 processor.

We also learned that there are three versions of the device: one comes with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, the second has the same amount of storage but 8 GB of RAM and the last also has 8 GB of RAM but comes with 256 GB of storage.

The Honor 20 and Honor 20 Pro may have three cameras on the rear that will probably be slightly lower than for the Huawei P30 series. However, the quality should be very good in poor light conditions if we can believe the image.

According to another rumor, the Honor 20 Pro gets the same 48 MP sensor as the Honor View 20 coupled with a 20 MP ultra wide angle lens. In addition, there is an 8 MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. The leak also shows that the device gets a 32-megapixel camera on the front. The presence of an OLED screen in the Honor 20 is also discussed.

Honor 20 Series Price & Avaialability

On May 21 we will know everything about the Honor 20, the Honor 20 Pro and the Honor 20 Lite. As for the prices, the 6 GB RAM model with 128 GB storage would cost $399. For the same amount of storage but 8 GB of RAM, we have to pay $449 and the most expensive model would cost $499.  Are you looking forward to these new Honor phones?
