Discord – the free chat service for gamers – is very popular, and is used by thousands of gamers worldwide. The app is really easy to use, and managing servers on Discord is also pretty easy. While the app itself is quite powerful at what it does, there is always a scope for adding more features. After all, not everyone uses Discord the same way. In order to customize your Discord server to your liking, and add features, Discord allows users to add bots to their servers. So, if you want to add bots to a Discord server, here is how you can do it:
Note: Adding bots to a server requires you to have “Manage Server” permissions on the server you’re adding the bot to.
Adding Bots on Your Discord Server
Adding bots on a Discord server is actually rather easy, as it should be. All you need to do, is log into your Discord account in a browser, and you’re good to go. I’m assuming that you already have the bots that you want to add to your Discord server. If you’re looking for Discord bots, you can check out the Carbonitex website, or the unofficial Discord Bots website, to look for the best bots that you can add to your server. Once you have the bots that you want to add to your server, you can simply follow the steps below:
1. Go to the Discord app website, and log in to your Discord account. Make sure you have “Manage Server” permissions on the server that you want to add the bot to.
2. On the Carbonitex website, click on the button that says “Add Bot to Server“. If you’re adding a bot from the Discord Bots website, click on the button that says “Invite“.
3. You will be taken to an authorization screen. Here, click on the “Select a Server” drop down menu, and select the server you want to add the bot to.
4. Simply click on the button that says “Authorize”. Once you do this, the bot will be added to your server, and you can see it in the sidebar for your server.
Those were all the steps that you need to take, in order to add a bot to your Discord server.
